Stamps.com Appoints Two New Members To Board Of Directors

EL SEGUNDO, CA – October 31, 2016 – Stamps.com® (NASDAQ: STMP) today announced that it has appointed two new members to its board of directors. David Habiger, former CEO of Textura, NDS Group and Sonic Solutions, joined Stamps.com’s board effective October 25, 2016. Theodore R. Samuels, President of Capital Guardian Trust Company and long-time portfolio manager and equity analyst with Capital Group, will join Stamps.com’s board following his retirement on January 4, 2017. The appointments will increase the total number of Stamps.com directors to six.

With their appointments to the board, Mr. Habiger will become a member of the Compensation Committee, and Mr. Samuels will join the Audit Committee effective January 4, 2017.

Dave Habiger is the former CEO of Textura (NYSE: TXTR), a cloud based provider of collaboration-productivity and payment solutions that was sold to Oracle in 2016 for approximately $700 million. From 2011 to 2012, Mr. Habiger also served as chief executive officer of NDS Group Ltd., a provider of video software and content security solutions that was sold to Cisco for $5 billion. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2011 Mr. Habiger served as chief executive officer of Sonic Solutions (NASDAQ: SNIC), a provider of software for digital media that was sold to Rovi for approximately $1 billion. Mr. Habiger has served on the board of directors of multiple publicly traded companies including Control4, DTS, Echo Global, Enova, and Immersion. Mr. Habiger is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, a Venture Partner at the Pritzker Group and a member of the Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers. Mr. Habiger holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, and a Bachelor’s degree from St. Norbert College.

Ted Samuels has served as president of Capital Guardian Trust Company, a Capital Group company, since 2010 and has been an equity portfolio manager and investment analyst at Capital Group since 1981. He has also served on many investment and management committees throughout his career at Capital Group. Earlier in his career, as an equity investment analyst at Capital Group, he covered electrical equipment, transportation and commercial aerospace companies. Mr. Samuels holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College.
